The very first day I visited kelaniya rajamaha vihara the painting of hemamala/sudantha dantha created by the great artist Walimuni Solias mendis, was gone so deeply in to my mind and I thought of copying the same and hang it in my house. I have seen many copies of this painting copied by different artists, but I was not so satisfied. Therefore I searched for a right person to recreate it. Luckily through a friend of mine I found Sampath Gurunnanselage who recreated a hundred percent accurate copy to the same masterpiece. Also I must comment on the branded paints and the canvas he used, which brought a genuine depth to the painting. I really enjoy this, looking at it every morning when I wake up, is much like a meditation to me. Thanks Mr Sampath, you did the great job.
