Who am I
Studied arts for my higher education at st. sebastian’s college, kandana, sri lanka. my interest in arts developed under the tutorage of the well-known film director joe dambulugala. finished my art diploma at the reputed janakala kendraya and studied drama under the guidance of famous local and foreign artists.
My thirst for knowledge in arts didn’t have boundaries, and in 1994 my taste and talents were exposed in the field of media and advertising. since then i have gathered experience in different capacities as an artist, art director in the field of advertising in which i gained an unblemished record of creativity.
It may be a pencil, brush, pastel, oil, paint, canvas, or paper or the technological advancement in computer graphic design was no barrier for me. i have an immense talent in voice dubbing and providing myself with animation for commercial advertisements and presently, my name is synonymous with reputed mercantile organizations for which my services and knowledge were patronized for advertisements, radio broadcasting, press ads and TV commercials respectively.

The very first day I visited kelaniya rajamaha vihara the painting of hemamala/sudantha dantha created by the great artist Walimuni Solias mendis, was gone so deeply in to my mind and I thought of copying the same and hang it in my house. I have seen many copies of this painting copied by different artists, but I was not so satisfied. Therefore I searched for a right person to recreate it. Luckily through a friend of mine I found Sampath Gurunnanselage who recreated a hundred percent accurate copy to the same masterpiece. Also I must comment on the branded paints and the canvas he used, which brought a genuine depth to the painting. I really enjoy this, looking at it every morning when I wake up, is much like a meditation to me. Thanks Mr Sampath, you did the great job.
